Children are our greatest blessing at the United Church of Hardwick. Most worship services include a special children's message. Additionally, we currently offer three different levels of children's programming.
LITTLE'S NURSERY - Little's Nursery childcare is open for ages 0-3 years during church services (9:45am - 11:00am). This free service is offered weekly and staffed by trained volunteers. The worship service is streamed live to the nursery. On occasions when nursery volunteers might be unavailable, parents are welcome to use the nursery and listen to services while their children play. A changing table is located in the downstairs bathroom nearest to the kitchen.
KFC - Kid Friendly Church (no chickens allowed!) - The 1st Sunday of every month at the United Church of Hardwick we host KFC, a Sunday where the children are in charge of the "fire, the money, and the wine"! Hence, "no chickens allowed"! Through active participation, kids build faith ownership, develop leadership skills, and have a meaningful worship experience. *FIRE - candle lighting; *MONEY - passing & collecting the offering plates; *WINE - passing communion elements. Please arrive at 9:45am to have your child participate during KFC. When you arrive, ask for Debbie or Avril.
THE J.O.Y NEIGHBORHOOD - Every 2nd and 4th Sunday at United Church of Hardwick. The J.O.Y Neighborhood stands for Jesus, Others, and Yourself. It is a safe space where children learn to build loving community through music, stories, arts & crafts, hands-on activities, and interaction. Ages 4-11 are welcome.
