Rev. Dr. Avril Cochran

Rev. Dr. Avril Cochran became our pastor in early 2025 after several years of leading our worship services on an ad hoc basis. She brings with her decades of church leardership experience throughout the Northeast Kingdom area of Vermont. She was ordained as a minister in 2003 and became a minister in the United Church of Christ in 2024.

In her own words, "I cannot imagine life without the abiding presence of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I continue to learn, grow, change, and am found anew on a regular basis by the Lord!"

In addition to being a minister, she is an RN, holds a BA in psychology, a BA equivalent in theology, a master's degree in education, and an EdD doctorate from Olivet Nazarene University. She is a certified End of Life Doula and serves as a chaplain per diem at Copley Hospital. She has been married to her husband Nathan for 46 years (congratulations!). Together they have three children (plys their partners) and two grandchildren.
